01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Gyutoku presents a lineup of meats well suited to searing over the tabletop wire grill. Beef tongue draws particular attention from diners, prepared to highlight the character of each cut, from satisfyingly thick-cut salted tongue to tender premium salted tongue. The selection includes tongue underside seasoned with scallion salt, premium skirt steak, and carefully marinated kalbi short ribs, allowing you to grill each piece to your liking.

The side dishes also complement the grilled meats. Diners can mix and match at the table, taking a break between cuts with namul assortments or oi-kimchi cucumber pickles, wrapping grilled meats in sanchu lettuce, or roasting Aomori garlic in the corner of the grill. For the finish, comforting options include dashi-rich gukbap, refreshing cold tsukemen noodles made in the Morioka style, and bibimbap loaded with toppings to round out the meal.

Inside, table seating occupies the first floor, while traditional tatami seating on the second floor provides a relaxed setting for conversation. The bar stocks draft beer, highballs, makgeolli, and other drinks. Because dinner hours often get lively, securing a reservation in advance is recommended if your dining plans are set.
